Job summary

Good Samaritan in Hastings, NE is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will work under the supervision of an RN, assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and mobility while supporting infection control policies.

The role requires CNA certification and the ability to participate in required annual training and continuing education. A valid driver’s license may be required for certain duties and shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board or in training process within four months.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits (12 hours).
• If applicable, registered with UAP Registry in certain states.
• Sanford Driver policy may require driving eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and assist with nutrition and dining.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to charge nurse.
• Assist and document wellness and recreational activities.
