Easterseals Florida, Inc is seeking an Intake Specialist to be the welcoming first point of contact for individuals and families seeking mental health services in Daytona Beach, FL. You will guide clients through the intake process, assist with paperwork, and coordinate appointments to ensure timely access to services.

The role offers a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with a rate of $18.00 per hour, plus insurance and time-off benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of administrative or office experience.
• Experience with medical billing, scheduling, or mental health services is a plus.
• Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Professionalism and care when handling confidential information.
• Flexibility to work occasional extended hours or special events.
• Ability to meet approved driver qualifications to drive personal vehicle for program-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and support families by phone and email as they begin services.
• Guide clients through intake paperwork, scheduling, and account setup.
• Coordinate appointments and help ensure timely access to services.
• Obtain and track insurance authorizations and payment arrangements.
• Communicate approvals and next steps with families, providers, and billing teams.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases.
• Support grant reporting, provider documentation compliance, and community outreach events.
• Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards.
