Easterseals Florida is seeking an Intake Specialist to warmly greet families, guide them through the intake process, and coordinate scheduling for mental health services. This full-time role supports access to care and requires strong administrative skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of administrative or office experience.
• Experience with medical billing, scheduling, or mental health services is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Valid driver’s license for program-related needs.
• Flexible for extended hours or events.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and support families by phone and email as they begin services.
• Guide clients through intake paperwork, scheduling and account setup.
• Coordinate appointments and help ensure timely access to services.
• Obtain and track insurance authorizations and payment arrangements.
• Communicate approvals and next steps with families, providers, and billing teams.
• Maintain records, reports and databases; support grant reporting and outreach.
• Uphold confidentiality, privacy standards and organizational values.
