Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate Intake Specialist to be the welcoming first contact for individuals seeking mental health services. You will guide families through intake, help remove barriers to care, and provide essential administrative support to keep services running smoothly.

The role involves greeting clients by phone and email, guiding paperwork, scheduling, and coordinating appointments while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of administrative or office experience.
• Experience with medical billing, scheduling, or mental health services is a plus.
• Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Professionalism and care when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and support families by phone and email as they begin services.
• Guide clients through intake paperwork, scheduling, and account setup.
• Coordinate appointments and help ensure timely access to services.
• Obtain and track insurance authorizations and payment arrangements.
• Communicate approvals and next steps with families, providers, and billing teams.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases.
• Support grant reporting, provider documentation compliance, and community outreach events.
