Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass background check per state requirements.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Experience with geriatric nursing preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as ordered by physician(s).
• Document all medication management activities per regulations and community protocols.
• Receive, store, secure, inventory, and dispose of medications per policy.
• Participate in the medication training program and demonstrate competency.
• Maintain a clean, organized medication storage area.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and daily activities.
• Record vital signs and weight; update care plans; report changes.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and report complaints or incidents.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge; inventory possessions.
• Adhere to universal precautions and infection control rules.
