Job summary

Manor Lake Hamilton Mill in Buford, GA seeks a caring Resident Care Aide to assist residents with daily activities under nursing supervision. You will help with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility support and basic room care while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.

The role requires 18+ years, English proficiency, CPR certification, and prior geriatric care experience; training on safety and infection control will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• CPR certification.
• Previous experience with geriatric nursing preferred.
• Basic understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Good physical and mental health; neat, clean, well groomed and responsible.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must have upper body strength adequate to bend, lift and move objects.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily bath and/or shower, dressing, grooming and basic room care.
• Record vital signs, weight, and report changes to supervision.
• Prepare residents for meals and provide after-meal care.
• Maintain confidentiality and dignity; report complaints and incidents.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes and inventory possessions.
• Provide table service during meals and light housekeeping in resident rooms.
• Follow safety, infection control and other policies; report safety violations.
• Attend orientation and required trainings and staff meetings.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
