Discovery Commons Hamilton is hiring a Certified Medication Technician to provide hands-on care for residents, administer medications, and offer physical and emotional support in a home-like setting.

The role requires a CMA credential (CHHA or CNA preferred), a high school diploma or GED, and at least 18 years old. CPR/First Aid is preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Technician with CHHA or CNA preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Experience with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and supervision for residents, assisting with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and safety
• Administer medications and observe treatments following the Six Rights, documenting accurately
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly
• Engage residents in enrichment activities to support well-being
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary environments in rooms and common areas
• Respond to call bells and coordinate with staff regarding care needs
• Communicate with families and healthcare staff about care plans and condition changes
• Ensure safety and confidentiality according to policies
• Other duties as assigned
