Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician (Med Tech/CMA) to provide compassionate, direct care to residents, assisting with medication administration and activities of daily living according to individualized plans.

You will join a team focused on resident comfort, safety, and well-being, with a culture emphasizing growth and exceptional care. Weekend rotation is required, and a caring, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid state medication administration license (such as CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP/Certified Caregiver) or meet state requirements for medication administration in assisted living.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medication, including self-administration as outlined in the care plan.
• Follow documentation protocols and report changes in resident status.
• Assist in managing medication inventory and storage, coordinate re-orders/deliveries with pharmacies.
• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living in a team setting.
• Prioritize independence and provide emotional support with ongoing engagement and companionship.
• Encourage participation in life enrichment activity programs.
• Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
