Responsibilities include documenting in the EHR, monitoring for side effects, and maintaining a clean, compliant medication area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Medication Administration training program.
• One year of direct care experience with seniors in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and community protocols.
• Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and perform vital signs checks.
• Maintain accurate records in the EHR system.
• Assist with medication inventory, ordering, and storage compliance.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Wellness Director and care team to support individualized care plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe medication area.
• Provide attentive, compassionate service respecting residents’ mobility, cognitive and sensory needs.
