Job summary

The Residence at Carlisle is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to assist residents with medication management, ensuring safety, dignity, and high-quality care within a supportive wellness environment.

You will work closely with the nursing and wellness teams to verify the right medications at the right times, document accurately in the EHR, and tailor care to each resident’s needs, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Direct care experience with seniors in long-term care.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Completion of a Medication Administration training program.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders.
• Monitor residents for side effects and perform vital signs checks.
• Maintain accurate records in the EHR system.
• Assist with medication inventory, ordering, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff while preserving confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Wellness Director and care team on individualized care plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe medication area.
• Provide attentive, compassionate service respecting mobility, cognitive, and sensory needs.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and colleagues with integrity.
