Job summary

The Drake is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide - SIC to support our clinical team in providing safe medication management for residents in Concord, NC. You will administer meds, monitor residents, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure excellent care.

We value compassionate, detail-oriented care with adherence to safety protocols and infection control. Eligible candidates may have state certification and prior senior care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State certification as a Medication Aide preferred.
• Healthcare experience in senior care preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed, with proper dosage, timing, and documentation.
• Specialized Care Support: Provide individualized care for residents with specific medical needs and assist with ADLs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate medication records and report adverse reactions or errors.
• Resident Monitoring: Watch for side effects or changes in condition and inform the team.
• Medication Storage & Handling: Store medications safely and per state regulations.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work with nursing staff and physicians to ensure quality care.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow regulations and facility policies for medication safety.
