Job summary

Hcshiring is seeking a Medication Technician Assistant to support the care and administration of resident medications under physician orders and state guidelines. You will report to the Wellness Director and join a team with multiple shifts available.

Responsibilities include administering medications, verifying resident identity, documenting procedures, monitoring responses, and aiding with routine resident care while maintaining accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Authorized to assist or administer medications under state guidelines.
• Prefer experience with older adults in a care setting.
• Strong organizational, communication and compassionate interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with prescribed medications for residents under RN/LPN supervision.
• Verify resident identity and record drug details, dosage, route, and time.
• Present medications, monitor ingestion, and document outcomes.
• Record vital signs and report changes to Wellness Manager or designated staff.
• Maintain medication records and comply with policies and regulations.
• Assist with basic resident care tasks and daily living activities as directed.
• Maintain inventory, handle orders, and participate in training requirements.
