Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Medication Administration training/certification per state requirements.
• Must meet all health requirements.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification per state requirements.
• CPR certification.
• Proficient in English reading/writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides medication assistance and personal care to residents.
• Completes documentation per standards to ensure care services are provided.
• Participates in narcotic count at shift change with accurate inventory documentation.
• Administers medication as directed per Rights of Medication Administration.
• Maintains cleanliness of medication room and cart.
• Faxes new medication orders to the pharmacy for timely delivery.
• Records resident vital signs and changes in condition as required.
• Documents and reports any resident changes of condition.
