Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota is hiring a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered care under a charge nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, observe and document health indicators, and support medication administration within scope of practice.

The role requires high school diploma or GED (CNA preferred) and state CMA/TMA certifications as applicable. Day shift, full-time, 40 hours weekly in Canistota, SD with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and earnings daily access options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum age 18; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Completes yearly competency testing and ongoing education credits.
• State CNA certification requirements per SD, IA, MN, ND.
• Active CMA/TMA or CMA-eligible certification may be required in some facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility as per plan.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support dining, housekeeping, and wellness activities; ensure safety.
