Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time unit clerk for night shift to perform clerical duties on the nursing unit. You will organize medical records, coordinate patient flow, and respond to calls, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth admissions, discharges, and transfers.

The role requires basic computer skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and strong communication abilities. Prior medical clerical experience is preferred; on-site schedule with varied week blocks.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn unit software.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• 1–2 years secretarial/administrative experience in a medical setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Process and maintain clerical information on the unit.
• Respond to, screen and refer telephone messages regarding patient information and unit operation.
• Assist with coordination of patient flow, unit rounding, and visitor security.
• Maintain patient's electronic medical record and ensure chart accuracy; coordinate consults.
• Coordinate patient transportation to external facilities or discharge to home.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; place orders in coordination with Environmental Services.
