Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar clinical administrative role.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and billing basics (ICD-10, CPT).
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, or Dentrix/Eaglesoft.
• Demonstrated HIPAA compliance and professional discretion.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and phone etiquette.
• Willingness to travel to other offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, confirm appointments, and complete check-in/check-out in the EHR.
• Manage multi-line phones; schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; capture payer details accurately.
• Collect and update patient demographics; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Support billing with basic coding, posting, and balance follow-up.
• Triage and route calls to appropriate staff; maintain organized records.
• Assist with general office tasks (scanning, data entry).
• Contribute to a warm, efficient front office; travel to other offices when needed.
