You will schedule and confirm appointments using an EHR system, verify insurance information, process patient payments, and maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and standard office software; HIPAA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients and verify personal and insurance information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using an EHR system.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and route to appropriate staff.
• Maintain and update patient records with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries; coordinate with insurers.
• Prepare paperwork and manage reception area organization.
