Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support a high-volume plastic surgery practice in Southbury, CT. You will help with room setup, patient flow, and assist providers during procedures while ensuring respectful, high-quality care.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills, with at least 6 months of clinical experience. CPR certification is essential, and an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant clinical experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• National Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms and assist patients during visits.
• Document patient history, vital signs, medications, allergies, in the EMR.
• Assist with in-office procedures, catheter care, specimen collection, education.
• Process lab and diagnostic results; ensure timely review and filing.
• Coordinate patient flow and support front desk scheduling.
• Support administrative tasks such as answering phones and appointments.
