Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a Medical Assistant or a Patient Care Tech.
• Or completion of one of the following programs: medical assistant, EMT, nurse assistant, LPN, medic, or patient care technician.
• For Rural Health clinics, BLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Float positions may require travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care with vital signs, injections, venipuncture, and assistance in procedures.
• Assist with clerical duties to maintain efficient operations.
• Prepare examining rooms and organize forms for visits.
• Document interventions and patient responses in the chart or EMR.
