Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across its Michigan network. Under supervision, you will perform or assist in a variety of procedures, take vital signs, prepare rooms, assist with exams, injections and venipuncture, and document care in the chart.

You will work with providers to prepare patients, manage equipment, schedule appointments, and maintain confidentiality while supporting infection control and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months' experience as a medical assistant.
• Completion of approved medical assistant, EMT, nurse assistant, LPN, or armed services medic program.
• For Rural Health clinics, BLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and stock supplies.
• Assist with procedures and document interventions in patient charts.
• Administer injections, perform venipuncture, and conduct EKGs as directed.
• Support clerical duties and schedule patient appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection control guidelines.

Education
