Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will welcome patients, take histories, document vitals, assist with exams, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of accredited MA program or externship, EMT/Paramedic, or athletic trainer program.
• Current CPR certification; MA certification/credentialing as applicable by state.
• MA eligible to attain Medical Assistant Certification or EMT with MI license.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; or 2+ years clinical support in a community clinic.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
