Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Southeast Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers, assist with examinations, coordinate patient care, and contribute to a positive healthcare experience in a part-time role.

You will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with procedures, and help educate families while working within a patient-centered, team-driven environment that emphasizes quality care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of MA program/externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic or athletic trainer certification considered an asset.
• MA credentialing options include CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
