Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; navigate web-based applications.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops empathetic relationships with patients, families and colleagues to support patient care.
• Facilitates patient flow during visits and informs about delays timely.
• Communicates hand-offs to providers and documents visits for billing.
• Assists with vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, immunizations, and routine procedures.
• Leads conversations to meet population health goals via outreach and coaching.
• Maintains equipment and supplies, cleanliness, and expiration dates.
• Uses EHR to queue prescriptions and document orders.
• Schedules diagnostic and lab tests and handles pre-authorizations.
• Identifies OSHA issues and protects PHI in line with privacy rules.
