Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, collect histories, vital signs, and health information.

You will also administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, educate patients and families, and coordinate care across the team to uphold our mission of high-quality care in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with accredited MA training/externship/internship.
• Credentialed MA options include CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC.
• State of Michigan EMT/Paramedic licensure or MA certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Educate patients and families to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
