Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection, and help coordinate care across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with MA program/externship or equivalent.
• Current MA credential or EMT/Paramedic acceptable with state license.
• 0–1 year clinical experience preferred; 2+ years in a community clinic acceptable with testing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Educate patients and families to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
