Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care in Michigan. You’ll work directly with patients, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and completion of an MA program or related credential (EMT, Paramedic, CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA, etc.).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of MA program and externship/internship, or EMT/Paramedic program, or CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC certification.
• Maintains current MA re-certification CEUs if credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
