Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks. You will assist physicians, take patient histories, document vitals, prepare exam rooms, and help schedule tests and follow-up visits.

You will maintain patient confidentiality and ensure accurate record-keeping in our patient management system. This patient-facing role requires CMA or RMA certification, CPR/BLS within 90 days, and at least 3 years of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or RMA certification.
• CPR/BLS Healthcare Provider Certification within 90 days of employment.
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Processes incoming and outgoing calls/messages in a professional manner.
• Performs patient intake and updates patient records.
• Ensures consents are reviewed and completed by clinician.
• Pre-encounter prep prior to patients' visit, including identifying open care gaps.
• Supports effective communication with patients, family, visitors, and colleagues.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists the clinician during medical treatments, examinations, and procedures.
• Prepares patients for examination, records vital signs and health history.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and instrument readiness.
• Manages inventory of medical supplies and exam room readiness.
• Participates in clinical quality initiatives and process improvements.
• Provides routine treatments and administers medications per order within scope.
• Documents patient data and education per policies.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates testing or consultations.
• Maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
