Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join CenterWell Senior Primary Care. You will be the first contact for patient care, performing clinical duties and administrative tasks onsite under supervision. The role requires collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers and adherence to TB screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant credential required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• TB screening participation required due to TB program.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines; include phlebotomy, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the EMR system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care per active certification.
• Decisions focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
• Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards with latitude over prioritization/timing.
• Follow standard procedures that allow interpretation/deviation.
