Job summary

Humana Inc. invites you to join CenterWell Senior Primary Care as a Medical Assistant, reporting to the Supervisor, Central Administration.

You will be the first point of contact for patient care, handling administrative tasks alongside clinical duties onsite. You will perform vital signs, administer medications and vaccines, collect specimens, and support diagnostic tests while maintaining a clean exam room and electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medication/vaccine administration experience.
• 1+ years MA experience.
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and administer medications and vaccines.
• Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
• Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
• Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards but have latitude over prioritization/timing.
• Follow standard procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation/deviation.
• Use your skills to make an impact.
