Hometown Urgent Care in Columbus, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant Receptionist to support front and back office tasks, assist healthcare professionals, and ensure smooth patient flow. The role focuses on registration, insurance verification, and basic medical assisting in an occupational health setting.

You will travel to care centers in the region, handle payments, and help train teammates while upholding patient confidentiality and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• EMR experience or familiarity required.
• Preferred prior medical office or receptionist background.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with good judgment.
• Customer service focus and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with compassion and provide excellent service.
• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Handle payments and co-pays for services.
• Answer multi-line phone system.
• Support occupational medicine duties and patient flow.
• Travel to care centers within designated region.
• Daily reconciliation of monies collected.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Stock supplies and clean the site.
• Training other team members.
• Support multiple service lines within the network.
• Additional duties as needed.
