Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Medical Assistant preferred or diploma program preferred.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required or completion of a Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents reason for visit and vital signs.
• Collects specimens as directed by provider and ensures proper handling.
• Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and ensures readiness.
• Under supervision, administers vaccines and medications as qualified.
• Maintains patient records and communicates results to the care team.
