Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide safe, therapeutic care under supervision. You will assist providers, obtain vital signs, collect specimens and help with examinations, ensuring accurate charting and patient education during visits.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 1 year of healthcare experience, and BLS upon hire; an MA credential is preferred. This position offers a full-time schedule with rotating shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Medical Assisting or diploma program preferred.
• 1 year Medical Assistant or healthcare experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required; Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document visit reason and vital signs.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Collect specimens and prepare for lab transport.
• Prepare and administer vaccines and medications as supervised.
• Maintain patient records with accurate information.
• Schedule diagnostic/therapeutic services and communicate results.
