Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Enter patient intake and provider orders into the EMR.
• Request medical records and verify patient information.
• Record patient vitals and medical history.
• Maintain examination rooms and clinical areas.
• Answer phones professionally and relay messages promptly.
• Return patient calls in a timely manner.
• Assist with training and maintain current certifications.
• Adhere to Infection Control, Safety and OSHA standards.
• Instruct patients and provide educational materials.
• Relate provider orders to patients and ensure records are complete.
• Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and injections as directed.
• Assist with durable medical equipment (DME) paperwork.
• Obtain prior-authorizations for radiology and prescriptions when needed.
• Keep supplies stocked and rooms clean.
• Maintain stock of medicines and inform Office Manager when replacements are needed.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Support Lab activities and manage specimen handling and shipping.
• Provide back-up support for Ancillary Medical Assistants as needed.
• Complete all required trainings and in-services.
