Job summary

FHCCGLA in the greater Los Angeles area is seeking a Medical Assistant to support back-office operations and patient care. You will assist patients in understanding recommendations, perform patient care tasks, screen calls, and document in the EHR, contributing to continuity of treatment.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow with the medical team, taking vitals, preparing rooms, managing supplies, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Certificate required and CPR certification kept up to date.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for patient interactions.
• Strong verbal and written communication required.

Responsibilities

• Participates with medical/interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient flow and chart management.
• Performs point of care glucose testing and documents results in the EHR.
• Assists with obtaining authorizations for services and patient information in the chart.
• Escorts patients between reception, exam, procedure, lab draw and checkout areas.
