Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to assist Registered Nurses in Med-Surg units. You will support multiple patients with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, clean care environment.

You will document measurements and observations using handheld devices, participate in patient safety initiatives, and collaborate with the care team to deliver respectful, patient-centered care during night shifts with a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Assists with activities of daily living to support patient comfort.
• Maintains patient rooms and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Documents data such as height, weight, and vital signs.
• Participates in patient safety and care coordination with licensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in direct patient care on a designated unit.
• Provide support to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining flexibility to help other departments.
• Collect data and record observations using approved forms and devices.
• Support nurses by performing delegable tasks and transporting supplies and specimens as needed.
