Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist with direct patient care on the Med Surg Unit 1. You will support daily living activities, monitor vitals and maintain a safe, clean patient environment under the supervision of RNs.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and BLS certification; flexibility to work various shifts and assist with patient transport and basic nursing tasks as delegated.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• 16- and 17-year-olds may be considered with a valid work permit.
• 18-year-olds in high school do not need a diploma/permit to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living on Med Surg Unit 1.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms, unit and equipment.
• Support nursing staff and coordinate care using handheld devices.
• Record vitals and data on the appropriate documentation forms.
• Assist visitors and staff and transport supplies as needed.
