Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist the Registered Nurse in providing direct patient care on a designated nursing unit. The role requires working every other weekend and completing basic nursing tasks as delegated.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting patient experience through compassionate care and teamwork on the Medical Unit 1.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 16- and 17-year-old individuals without a high school diploma or GED will be considered only if they have a valid work permit.
• 18-year-old individuals enrolled in high school do not need a high school diploma/GED/work permit to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse in providing direct patient care to multiple patients on a designated nursing unit.
• Maintain environmental cleanliness and safety of patient rooms, unit and equipment.
• Assist in telemetry cardiac monitoring and communicate any life-threatening arrhythmias to a clinician.
• Perform basic nursing tasks such as fingerstick glucose, urine dipstick, and simple wound care as directed.
• Assist visitors and staff with information needs and coordinate care using wireless devices.
