Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role in Georgia. You will perform mammography exams with a focus on quality imaging and patient comfort, while supporting a collaborative care team.

The position requires ARRT credentials in radiography and mammography, with experience in a hospital setting. You will contribute to QC documentation, PACS/RIS entries, and patient education in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT radiography and mammography certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam to patients using AIDET and address questions.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during imaging.
• Review images for quality and accuracy before releasing to PACS.
• Ensure accurate labeling and documentation in PACS/RIS; maintain daily charge capture.
• Operate equipment safely, monitor dose, and follow infection control guidelines.
• Complete required QC tests (ACR/MQSA) as scheduled.
• Keep the mammography suite clean and stocked; manage shielding devices.
