Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a Mammography Technologist for a part-time, scheduled role in Georgia. You will perform mammography exams, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high-quality imaging standards in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R, ARRT-M and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam clearly to reduce anxiety using AIDET.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and prepare for release.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain infection control.
• Conduct QC tests and document results.
• Ensure images are labeled, indexed in PACS/RIS, and charged daily.
• Maintain clean, stocked mammography suite and shielding as needed.
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and assist training of new staff.
• Communicate professionally and work well in a fast-paced team.
