Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center in Georgia is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist. You will perform mammography exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort while providing clear explanations and compassionate care.

The role requires ARRT certifications in radiography and mammography, with at least 1 year of radiologic and mammography experience. Join a collaborative team focused on quality imaging and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order with two identifiers.
• Explain the exam and reduce patient anxiety using AIDET framework.
• Maintain patient privacy and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and ensure first-time acceptance.
• Operate mammography equipment safely, optimize dose and technique.
• Complete required QC tests (ACR/MQSA) and document results.
• Label, orient, and document images in PACS/RIS; daily charge capture.
• Keep the mammography suite clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control.
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and answer patient questions.
• Collaborate with team and support training of new staff.
