Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role in Georgia. You will perform mammography exams, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high-quality imaging while working within a collaborative care team.

The position requires ARRT credentials in radiography and mammography, a high school diploma or equivalent, an accredited radiologic technology program, and at least 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist work
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of mammography in a hospital
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam clearly to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during positioning.
• Review images for quality and completeness, aiming for first-time acceptance.
• Operate equipment safely, optimize dose and technique, maintain infection control.
