WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver routine daily nursing care aligned with the patient’s assessment, plan of care, and care plan under supervisor direction. Responsibilities include recording vitals, assisting with ADLs, hygiene, and mobility, and ensuring safety and comfort for adult/geriatric patients.

The role requires a CNA certification or eligibility within 3 months, plus education and clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification or eligible within three months of hire.
• WV CNA certification through the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.
• State and federal background checks required; Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Record entries on flow sheets and charts accurately.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations.
• Provide adult geriatric care per age-specific standards.
• Operate equipment for vital signs, k-pad, scales, oxygen, suction, CPM, Bladder Scanner.
• Assist with ADLs and daily hygiene, including skin, nails, and oral care.
• Turn and reposition bedfast patients every 2 hours; assist with bladder/bowel functions.
