Job summary

Villa At Rose City is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. The LPN assumes responsibility for a group of residents during a shift, providing licensed care under physician orders and in accordance with applicable standards.

The role requires current LPN licensure in Michigan, CPR certification, and preferably 1 year of long-term care experience. Strong communication, documentation, and the ability to multitask are essential, with occasional overnight travel possible.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with standards.
• Provides and receives nursing reports during shift changes.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas and resident rooms.
• Directs and supervises CNA services per standards.
• Assists with resident assessments and care plans.
• Takes blood pressure and vital signs; administers IV therapy as ordered.
• Transcribes physician orders to charts and MAR.
• Prepares and administers medications as ordered.
• Documents nurse notes reflecting care and resident response.
• Completes admission, transfer, and discharge forms.
• Addresses safety risks in the environment.
• Provides reports and recommendations on shift activities.
• Implements care plans and suggests changes to the IDT.
• All other duties as assigned.
