Job summary

Mercy Health’s Lima Medical Office Building is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality patient care under the physician's direction. The LPN will assess patients for provider visits, document responses, and support the care team during appointments.

The role requires active LPN licensure (or eligibility) and BLS certification, with a preference for at least one year of clinical patient care.

Qualifications

• Active LPN licensure or eligibility.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team members to meet patient/family needs.
• Provides direct basic nursing care in line with the LPN scope of practice.
• Labels and packages specimens as trained.
• Assists with indirect care through clerical/administrative duties as assigned by registered nurse.
• Acts as chaperone during patient examinations as requested.
• Assists provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
• Other duties as assigned.
