Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a physician. The LPN will prep patients for provider visits, observe and report responses to care, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure high-quality care.

Essential duties include assisting with procedures, labeling specimens, and performing clerical tasks as needed. Active LPN licensure and BLS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure required to practice as an LPN.
• BLS certification preferred or required for patient safety.
• Ability to use computer-based scheduling and registration systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care under physician supervision.
• Prepare and assess patients for provider visits and document responses.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team members.
• Assist in procedures, treatments, and interventions as directed.
• Label and package specimens as trained.
• Support clerical/administrative tasks as assigned.
