Job summary

Lewiston of Cascadia, LLC is seeking a Culinary Aide to assist with the preparation and service of food for residents and staff in our long-term care facility. You will follow approved menus, use proper food handling techniques, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to communicate with residents and families. Prior food service experience is preferred, and a high school diploma is requested.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets for residents, staff and events.
• Utilizes proper food handling techniques according to policies and regulations.
• Ensures meals are served attractively and on time.
• Uses standardized recipes and maintains correct portion control.
• Records temperatures and ensures correct refrigeration.
• Keeps dishes and kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Performs cleaning tasks and uses cleaning chemicals safely.
• Assists in receiving and verifying invoices for food and supplies as directed.
• Maintains equipment and reports issues promptly.
• Supports team with kitchen operations and resident interactions.
