Job summary

Creative Alternatives, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our school-based team in California.

The role involves supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally, working with teachers and staff to create a safe, engaging learning environment, and serving as a positive role model. The position requires at least 48 college units, a minimum 21 years of age, a valid CA driver’s license, and completion of required background checks (DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse index).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Individual student IEP goals and BSPs/BIPs.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with students.
• Ability to work as part of an educational team in any classroom assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist with taking daily student attendance.
• Provide supervision to ensure student safety at all times.
• Assist with whole and small group classroom instruction.
• Collect academic and behavioral data for students as directed by supervising Teacher.
• Daily transportation of students to and from school and related events.
• Set limits and apply consequences appropriate for Special Education students.
