Job summary

Gail's Homecare, based in Lithonia, GA, provides in-home non-medical care in multiple counties and seeks a compassionate PCA to join our growing team. You will assist clients with personal care, mobility, and light housekeeping in their homes, with a 4-day work week from 9am to 5pm.

The ideal candidate has CPR/First Aid, a HS diploma or GED, and relevant caregiving experience. You will document progress and maintain client wellbeing while adhering to agency policies.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of full-time healthcare experience; three to five years preferred.
• Home health care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Completion of at least eight hours of personal care training annually.
• Willingness to attend meetings and training sessions.
• Ability to work under supervision and provide quality client care.
• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work is a plus.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and hygiene support for clients in their homes.
• Assist with mobility using Hoyer lift and position clients for meals and rest.
• Provide meal assistance or ensure meals are within reach and safely positioned.
• Housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe home environment.
