Job summary

Gail's Homecare is seeking a compassionate, reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide in-home care for clients in Lithonia, GA and surrounding areas. You will assist with basic personal hygiene, light housekeeping, and daily activities in the clients' homes.

The position requires CPR/BLS and First Aid certification, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of full-time healthcare experience (3–5 years preferred). English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS and First Aid Certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of full-time professional experience in a healthcare setting (3–5 years preferred).
• Home healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Completion of at least 8 hours of annual personal care-related training.
• Ability to work independently while following care plans and supervision.
• Physically able to assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in their homes with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks.
• Provide compassionate care and document clients' progress to support wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and report changes to supervising staff.
• Respect clients' dignity, independence, and privacy at all times.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients.
