Job summary

Mercy Health's Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating with the care team, and developing care plans to improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience, preferably in acute care, and holds an RN license. BLS is required; ACLS is preferred and must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience required.
• Current RN license.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications safely per policies and procedures.
• Serve as patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Provide patient and family education and coordinate care across departments.
